Synopsis: Paul turns from rejoicing in the present to his confidence that he will continue to rejoice in the future. Anxiety about the future is a common “joy-stealer,” and Paul shows us here that the Christian can look at the future full of joy.

Synopsis: The Philippians had heard that things were not going so well for the apostle Paul, and they were concerned for him. He writes to let them know that even though he was in prison, God was working to advance the gospel, and in that Paul found great joy.
