Women’s Ministry

As a women’s ministry, we specifically aim to give opportunities for women to grow in their faith in Christ so that their daily lives are impacted. We also want to equip others to use their gifts to make an impact for the kingdom. We offer weekly Bible Studies, opportunities for discipleship, times for fellowship and fun, and an annual retreat. • Women’s Retreat
  Our retreat team makes it a priority to plan a retreat each year that provides gospel-centered relationship building and an extended time of fellowship in a relaxed environment. Typically held in the spring – dates vary, so watch the bulletin for announcements.
• Hosting baby showers for expectant mothers
  As a covenant body, we want to encourage new mothers with a word of encouragement and time of prayer. In lieu of gifts, we collect a cash gift to be given to each mother. 
• Bible Studies
  The women of AVPC have several opportunities throughout the week to meet and study God’s word together. Study topics change every spring, summer, and fall. If you have any questions, contact Heather Sommer (heather@avpc.org)

Young Adults Ministry

The College/Young Adult ministry of Altadena Valley is just that – a community of young adults, roughly 18-30, married and single. In a stage of life when the draw is to live for self, we desire to be a community set apart for the glory of Jesus Christ. As we behold the love of God for us in Christ, this moves us to love both God and neighbor, including those who are yet to believe in Jesus.
